1. Introduction (Fundamental Philosophy)

Based on our management philosophy of "Creation and Challenge," the YAMADA HOLDINGS Group will create new value through the active utilization of AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology, while challenging social issues with "Appreciation and Trust" as our foundation. Recognizing AI as a powerful partner that enriches people's lives, we will promote the responsible use of AI in accordance with the following guidelines as a company trusted by society.

2. Human-Centric AI Utilization (Human-Centric Principle)

We consider AI to be a "tool for humans to master as the protagonists, realizing the diverse happiness (well-being) of diverse people". In the utilization of AI, humans will engage in proactive decision-making and bear the final judgment and responsibility, rather than blindly accepting or entirely delegating decisions to AI's suggestions or judgments.

3. Ensuring Safety

In the utilization of AI, we will ensure maximum safety to avoid threatening the life, body, property, or spirit of our officers, employees, and customers. We will correctly recognize the risks inherent to AI (such as the generation of false information or unexpected behavior) and strive to prevent accidents through continuous and appropriate checks.

4. Respect for Fairness and Elimination of Discrimination

We will remain mindful of potential bias in AI training data and computational methods (algorithms), and strive to ensure that AI does not promote or facilitate unfair discrimination or exclusion based on race, nationality, gender, age, political beliefs, religion, or other factors. We will comply with our "Code of Conduct" and aim to realize a diverse and inclusive society through the utilization of AI.

5. Protection of Privacy and Ensuring Security

We will strictly comply with our "Personal Information Protection Policy". In each process of AI design, development, and utilization, we will implement technical and organizational measures to prevent unauthorized access, information leakage, loss, or damage, and strive for the secure management of personal information.

6. Respect for Intellectual Property Rights

In each process of AI design, development, and utilization, we will respect the copyrights, patent rights, and other intellectual property rights of third parties. When collecting AI training data or utilizing AI-generated outputs, we will take appropriate measures to ensure that the interests of rights holders are not unfairly infringed upon.

7. Transparency and Accountability

We understand the importance of providing appropriate and sincere information, within a reasonable scope, to all stakeholders affected by AI regarding the fact that AI is being used and the scope of its application. We will ensure the verifiability of the validity of AI outputs and strive to fulfill our accountability to society.

8. Education and Literacy Development

We will provide education to our officers and employees to ensure the correct use of AI. By improving literacy (the ability to correctly understand and utilize information) regarding the ethics and technical characteristics of AI, we will cultivate personnel capable of handling AI responsibly and enhance awareness of legal compliance (compliance) throughout the organization.

9. Establishment of Governance and Continuous Improvement

We will establish AI governance (a system for the appropriate management of AI) based on our "Sustainability Basic Policy". To respond to the rapid advancement of AI technology and changes in social conditions, we will continuously review this policy and related regulations to ensure effective operation.
